Hi guys Just starting up my tank as you can see Buy my recent posts. I have a
30 gallon rectangular tank. I was wondering how many Colombian Tetra would be needed for them to shcool they are a little larger than there other counterpart
(Ex. Neons) they grow to about 2 1/2 inches. I presently only have one in my tank
and it looks like he enjoys following the platty and the honey gourami in there now.

How many of them would I have to add for them to follow each other.

Thanks

If that's all you are going to have in the tank I would say a dozen or so. But it really depends on how many and what other fish you have. Think 1" of fish per gallon assuming it has good filtration.

I plan on putting many other comunity fish. To reflect the one inch per gallon so approx 30 ich of fish I will be putting in my tank.

I do not wan't to just put Columbian tetras what would be the minimum or best number of Columbian Tetras to put in the same tank for schooling effect if I intend on adaing other fish.

Thanks
