Welp... here is my latest picture. It's a pic my sis-in-law has been patiently waiting for for years now.
I could just never get into the zone to do it until recently.
And so yep... here it is heh... she wanted a geisha pic but I had to put some sort of fantasy element into it. I read that the asian phoenix is usually paired up with a dragon, so decided to do something like that.
And blahblahblah... here it is! lol
This picture took a very long time to do... 2 weeks straight working on it every single day.

Pencil sketch scanned into the comp. Then colored using the programs, paintshop pro 7, adobe photoshop 7, adobe photodeluxe 2.0. :)

We got it printed out and framed it for her. She got it yesterday (the 8th) since her birthday is on monday and we wouldn't see her then.

thats an amazing job on the colouring in, why did you use all those different packages, could you not have just photoshop?

that is amazing. the shading you have done on the blossoms is really really good.
how long has it taken you to develop your skill using programs.
i am crap with a pc but better on pencil.

I use different things in different programs mainly b/c I'm too lazy to learn how to do it all in one heh.

Well it took me a while to get decent with using an art program. I think I need alot of work still, but it's taken me a few years to get where I'm at now.

Did you really do that? ooh now I can pretend I know someone who can do really good pictures, lol

"Yeah I have a friend who does really good pictures..."

ahh. I don't think i have the patience to learn to draw using programms. i haven't drawn anything in years. don't have the time like i used to before entering the world of work and family and marriage.

i do have one critique about the dragon. it looks feline (Tiger) and the forehead is too rounded. but if a tigerish look is what you were going for then it suits it.
