There are some in a LFS . I've never seen them before and have never read about them.

Does anyone have experience of keeping them and have any advice regarding them?

Thanks

this probably isn't the right spot for this, try under amphibians.

By red belly frogs do you mean Fire belly toads? They go by a few different names. These guys are pretty nice, but keep the water clean as they do release a toxin (non fatal to humans) that in large enough dosages can be fatal to themselves. Clean water is a must! I believe they grow to about 2" and I know that they live for 10 years+ when given proper care.

Decent information there.

spot on cheers for that

I must be blind cos I missed the amphibian section before i posted this and the newt post

There are some good forums out there for fire bellied toads but they are hard to find. My biggest tips would be
75% water and 25% land for the tank
water no deeper than 3"
room temperature is fine
no tankmates except that you DO want other fire bellied toads
feed crickets every other day or so, dust with calcium daily and vitamins weekly
water changes are needed on a fairly regular basis
earthworms and any insects without a hard shell are great treats
several hiding places

let me know if you have specific questions. here are some pics of my setup
