Hi just moving into marines from FW, I have a 3ft with 15kg of live rock, turnover of 20x per hour and 100W of T5 lighting. A LFS near me that I dont usually use has something called "Red Bamboo" for sale. I was just wondering if anyone knows of its care requirements and if it would be suitable for my tank. I googled the name but just found loads of jewellry LOL, and the fact that tangs eat it.

I may have an idea what you are talking about, and if I do ("red seaweed"?), it is reasonably easy to keep, but you will need to keep it trimmed. It can rapidly grow out of control.

Thanks a lot, :D it looks like bright red bamboo canes.

Do you know if its ok to keep with Mithrax Crabs and other algae eating inverts? Or would it end up being and expensive snack?

He means "will the crabs eat the algae". ;)

They shouldn't though they can be unpredictable. Most likely it will be left alone. Similar answer for snails and dwarf hermits.
