i got this red algae in my tank. i don't think it's coralline either, unless it's a different type than the kind i already have in my tank. it covers parts of my LR during the day but when i turn my lights off at night and then turn them on again in the morning it's gone (more like faded away because you can see it faintly). with the lights on again in the morning the algae grows back within a few hours and the process repeats itself everyday. what type of algae is this? i have a 25gal FOWLR but i don't know what my nitrates and stuff like that are at right now.

sounds like cyano/ slime algae. it is caused by a build up of organics. Here is a good article on how to get rid of the stuff.

well does it have hair like stuff? if so u probaly have what i have. mine was due to being in a window, the LFS sayed my should go away by this summer. just dont have it in the light of the sun

No, this is cyanobacteria. There are many, many conflicting views on how to combat it. I posted a long note in another thread here within the last few weeks on the various opinions on causes and solutions. If you search on cyanobacteria here you'll find that post.
