unrealted pair of Red Alenquer Discus Spawning .... this is the 1st time ive had discus spawn ..... there in my rio 400 community tank .... didnt hold much luck the eggs making it over night as there are 30 wild otto cats in there and 100+ assassin snails but to my surprise they were still there this morning .. but its there 1st spawn so wil see what happens

congratulation Peter. That tank looks great, do you have ant tank pics? i love to see a good planted discus set up, so much better than the bare bottom set ups people have.

cheers and well when trying to make a video then you want it to be as professional as possible however in my house hold that aint gunna happen unless the kids are asleep lol but they have spawned 3 times since making this video so the pair are very prolific but reach 2-3days then they disapear but hopefully going to move there pair to another tank of there own once i get the 3ft x 20 x 18 tank out of the basement lol

what's the floating plant?

its comprised of water cress, amazon frogbit, duck weed, indian fern and riccia

p.s i am starting to sell it now for £2 a bag as ive transfered loads to all my 2x1x1 breeding tanks and now there completly covered and this tanks full up of it again .... but the floating plants feed off of the phosphates in the water so are undemanding and great for fry and shrimp to hide in
