Recommended Undergravel Filter For 55g (48" X 12")

Perfect makes a 24" x 12" and a 48" x 13".... no 48" x 12". Would it be ok to use two 24" x 12"???

No I dont really think so the closest thing is the Jaubert method but isnt used very often as it takes up lots of tank space.

Not many people like using this method?

they do what they are supposed to do fine, problem is, technology has advanced and there are easier better ways of doing things. So yeah, they are pretty obsolete, except maybe for the die-hard old technology people or the people who listen to bad advise.

Thanks again guys. I was researching Powerheads today and noticed a lot of the descriptions include a blurb about how they can be used for undergravel filtration. I never heard of that before so just needed some clarification.
