Recommendations On Making A Hinge

i have a clear seal hexagonal tank with a plastic lid.

i was wondering if it was possible to make a kind on hinge on the lid so i can easily open in instead of having to take the whole lid off?

can anyone suggest anything or anyone done something similar?
