I think I'm ready for more fish. My longskirt tetra passed on Friday so I only have 2 fish. I have a dwarf guorami and what I thought was a dalmation lyretail. I have since found out it is not and am unsure as to what it is. He is a peaceful fish and since the tetra is gone I've noticed my Dwarf guorami has been "picking" on him. He doesn't nip him but just chases him when he goes to a certain area of the tank. I have a 10 gallon tank my water parameters are good. I need suggestions on what to add. I am planning on getting 2 fish this coming weekend and waiting another 3 weeks for 2 more. Maybe 2 female dwarfs this time? Thanks in advance! :dunno:

Someth8ing very, very small...you don't have a lot of room. What about neons?

I went and looked at neons yesterday. I didn't buy because I wanted to go home and double check my water.....good thing I did. My nondescript orange fish (which I found out is a starburst platy) had stringy white poop. I went to get meds for him and want to treat him and clear it up before adding. Gotta ? though....should I remove him from the tank to treat? or is it ok to treat him right where he is? There's only one other fish in there. I'm wondering if he can catch what the platy has.

The other fish could get it...or not. I think opinions on this will vary but if it were me, since there is only 1 other fish, I'd treat the tank, but that's just me. Good luck!

if the fish has stringy white poop does that mean they have something wrong? Or does this only pertain to certain types fo fish? THANKS FOR YOUR INFO.

Joe
