Reaction to light??

Hey guys,

About two weeks ago I bought a female red wagtail platy. I have noticed that in the morning she shows no dark markings, but after I turn on the aquarium light she eventually shows dark markings on the front half of her body. Has anyone seen this before? Is this the sign of something abnormal? None of my other fish have this problem (including a male red wagtail platy).

Yes i do notice that my Mickey Mouse platies are usually wishy washy blue and the mouse face is v.faded but as soon as i open the curtains and the room brights up, so does she!!!! (v.strange)

Is she eating normally?

Thanks for the info. Yes, she eats normally. She does have a tendency to dart around the tank from time to time, but I think that is because of the male platy. Thanks again!
