I'm re-stocking my small 19 litre tank. At the moment I have 6 Glowlight tetras. I don't want to overstock it but would like to add a little variety. I thinking about adding a betta or a dwarf gourami (though I think the tank would be too small for one?). Alternatively I might add a 2 or 3 guppies. If I do add guppies, I don't want them to breed, if I get all males would they get along ok?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

honestly, I wouldn't put anything else in the tank.. 6 fish in 19 liters is at the limit in my opinion.

I hope you don't take this personally, but I would say you're already overstocked, just with the glowlights. I would really want to see them in nothing smaller than 10/45l.

A 19l is only suitable for three or four male Endler's or guppies, or perhaps a betta. Maybe a few shrimps, but nothing else.

I would go for Endlers and a few shrimp. That will give you some activity top and bottom. Endlers are as striking, if not more-so in some cases, as Guppies but quite a bit smaller and therefore more suited to a small tank.
