hey there tank looks great! i have a rio 180 too which i will be filling and adding LR to soon since ive got all the equipment, im just wandering how much youve used in yours??

Alot
i got it for £75 and it came with loads and i have bought another 10kg so about 40 kg i think.

Thanks guys i should be getting the corals by Saturday if all goes well will update pics.

Any ideas on what that coral is?

Zooanthids, Palythoa, and mushrooms. Tough to say on the exact species of shrooms. The individual one MIGHT be an actinodiscus and the multiple ones could be rhodactus?

After buying the June issue of PFK today. I am thinking of taking out the blue, gold damsel and adding 3 Talbot's damsels. They look great and are reef safe.
ALso going to start an amazonian paludarium.
Thanks,
Luke

Re thought my stocking and rescaped my tank.
My stocking is now:
1 chromis
2 percual clowns.
1 gold rush tang.
1 cortez rainbow wrasse
1 convict blenny
1 pink spotted shrimp goby.

Pics to follow.

Yikes, got some compatibility problems there. Thalassoma lucasanum (cortez rainbow wrasse) can be very territorial and aggressive as they grow/age. They are also a natural predator of shrimp, bristleworms, and other shelled crustaceans or inverts. They won't harm corals, but I'd watch out for my cleanup crew, especially the shrimp.

You men they might eat my cleaner shrimp.
Damn i really should do my research.
The LFS said that it would be fine with my shrimp etc.

Most likely will eat the cleaner either now or in the future. Any Wrasse belonging to the Thassaloma genus is prone to eating shrimp.

Well, rescaped my tank again thismorning as i had to catch the wrasse. Which i did.
No inverts had been eaten.Phew.
So took it to the shop and swapped it for a female anthias and a piece of liverock and a £1.50 credit note.
Pics to follow.
