brought a small leather yesterday from LFS that was fully extended when I was in the shop, returned straight home no more than 30 min, acclimatised it over about 4-5 hours and then placed it in tank, decided that the flow was to high where i was going to put it so repositioned it, lst night a few of the polyps started to come out then lights went off, noticed it went very droopy without light but realised i would prob do the same if it was me
anyway today it really hasnt done much as you can see in the pics below (first one of leather is really how it stayed all day but took pic under actinic light), but i have noticed that it kind of closed up and doesnt become droopy during the day (think this is a good sign) as you can see from other shots of my tank averything else is doing fine amd water prams are all ok and if they weren't im sure my other corals would tell me as well, my first thought is th stress it went through of moving and secondly it nw has a 250wMH light above which may be a shock to it, have decided not to try and feed it but just let it get on with what it needs to do do you guys think this is the right thing to do and is my theory right?
the only other thing i can think of is that it is close to where my fire shrimp resides but can believe its that that causes it a problem!
shot of leather coral not looking droopy
another shot slightly closer for you
some general tank shots to show other corals doing well
any clues? or is it best to do as i thought and just let it sort itself out?
