Hello,
A few weeks ago I bought some Red Cherry Shrimps as an lovely addition to my main tank to make the bottom of tank far more interesting, seemed bare without them. Now can't imagine having a tank without shrimps!!
I thought was just getting RCS but seems there might be Fire Reds as well. Am unsure as telling the difference is beyond me as a newbie at the moment.
Be great if anyone can answer this basic question for me.
Am going to post a pic that has a group of shrimps enjoying an Algae Wafer.
The group in centre seems to be RCS but the two completely red ones, are they RCS, Fire Reds and the darker red one on the right, is that also an Fire Red?
Will they interbreed by the way?
I have had 2 females having eggs but were dropped, my fault mainly as made them jump twice, once by having problems with filter and made cloudy water and the other time by shutting the cabinet door too loud and have now since fitted soft close hinges!! Lessons learned!
BTW the fish that sneaked in the pic in background is a Threadfin Rainbowfish, not a shark or anything about to eat a shrimp or two!! lol
