I was at the store and they had a stingray they called it something with a G I dont know how to spell it but they look like the histrix stingrays. I have tried to find it on the internet but no luck if any one has any good web sights for info on freshwater stingrays please let me know

What sort of substrate should you have in your tank for rays?

Gravel? or 100% sand only?

You can have them on sand, gravel, or barebottom. Depends on what brands your using though. People have had success with gravel that's round (a few cases of problems with this)- I prefer sand though.

When I had my retic, it would blow at the sand for food, and would bury in, and with gravel it wouldn't be able to do that easily.
