My flower ray seems to be down in the dumps lately.

a couple of weeks ago I added a newly imported ray to the tank which didn't take well to the journey and unfortunately died after a couple of days.

My flower and motoro ray in the same tank were "quiet" for the first couple of days the new one was in, the motoro quickly got used to the new one though and returned to normal.

After the new one died my flower was still acting odd, hiding most the time and not eating like normal. It seemed that the motoro was bulling the flower so the motoro was moved out on Tuesday. but the flower is still acting odd.

In the past day shes done the odd green poo and was hiding in the sand with her tail slightly raised.

I'm a bit concerned now as my old scobina did green poops just before dieing.

Is there any I can treat with that may help???

Maybe feed some live river shrimp? I've yet to see a ray refuse them and the crunchy shells act as good roughage to clear out the gut, pound coin sized apple snails are loved as well, maybe drop a couple of those in.

i agree up the temp to 86 and try river shrimp

just be carful were you buy the river shrimp from a freind of mine brought river shrimp from a shop that was keeping it outside to keep it cold in the summer the shop was one of the ones in a gardern centre and were they were spraying the plant with stuff it had got into the water with the shrimp and kill 3 of his leos

he took the rays to a vet for ortopsy and they confirmed poision :(

Thanks for the tips, unfortuantely I'm now working 7 days straight and the shop that sells live shrimp close same time as mine :X

I'll be able to get apple snails on thrusday though.

Just about to do a water change on her and filter clean, I'll wack the temp up aswell.

I'ved had river shrimp off the shop before for over a year so confident there will be no problems there.

Hopefully she'll go for the snails on thrusday though, so far she only eats smaller foods such as krill, bloodworm, brine shrimp and super worms!
