Ya know, I did alot of research on rats yesterday, just for the heck of it (not planning on purchasing) but I was intrigued by peoples loyalty and companionship to them. It didnt really give specifics on personality, I mean, I thought rats were kind of like mice where they could care less for their human counterparts, but they seem to be more like ferrets that thrive on friendship is this true?

Completly. Rats are extreamly social animals and thrive on conpainionship. Thats why I ended up getting Milly because Jazz needed a friend. They love to cuddle with me aswell and enjoy lots of time out of their cage. But I wouldn't say that all Mice don't like human friends. My Mouse Reece loves coming out to play. But the rats are definatly more social. ;)

Well my mice werent human friendly lol.. I had two breeders (supply food for the reptiles) and they didnt like me too much, I kept one of the babies though and hand tamed him right from the start so he wasnt bad at all.
