Rats!

i have a question for any rat owners here......
when you are playing with your rats, do u get red raised itchy bumps on your skin where they've scratched? or is it possible im developing a, allergy?
have just taken in 5 rats and they are so lovely but when i kept rats in the past, i dont recall getting these little itchy bumps on my skin?

I get scratches all the time but not bumps.

Last time i had that was an allergic reaction to penicillin!

i dont have any other problem just the little bumps where the nails scratched.....strange.

I agree with helterskelter, but if it was me id get it checked out at the doctors.

You are allergic to their urine which is on their feet and nails my OH gets the same reaction

Agree with above, my partner also gets the same rash/raised bump problems but it doesn't last for long, just make sure you wash your hands thoroughly after contact to illuminate any possibility of infection.
