I have 6 rasboras that I've had for almost a week now. They sort of school sometimes but usually not, however they do sort of get in groups of 2 or 3. Except tonight I noticed one was alone and every time another came near it, it would chase them away. Also at times this lone fish would look very pale. I also had one earlier tonight that kept swimming in the filter current.

I checked water and it was zero ammonia, zero nitrites, less than 5 nitrates. Once the light went out the one in the current seems to be acting normal again but the one is still staying by him/her self. Yesterday I put in a small breeder tank with a couple of fry from my 20g tank. Do you think that could be it? They might have been acting funny before but today is the first time I noticed it (and I spend quite a bit of time looking at my fish).

Also I have one that is sort of crooked. It seems to swim fine and is bright colored and active. Is this something to worry about? I've been feeding them just like I do my other fish. Tetra Crisps, Bio-Blend, frozen bloodworm and jarred daphnia (which they went wild for and from what I could see, they all ate).

thanks for moving. I *thought* rasboras were cyprinids but it wasn't in the topic description so I thought maybe I dreamed that.

A loner that is doing the chasing is not so much of a worry as a loner that is being chased. I'd watch and see if it settles down. Swimming in a current is what some fish do.

It is wrong to assume disease at the first sign of trouble.

Thanks. They're acting normal today-I think it was a combination of the stress of the added breeder tank plus the lights being on. I'll have them a week tomorrow so they're still fairly new here.
