I just came back from class, fed my fish..and in a few minutes noticed one of the rasbora flipping over nt it's belly beneath the leaves of my one platic plant..i figured she was going to be laying eggs or something..but didn't notice anything. i filmed it quick with my cell phone and had to go to class again.
i just got back and looked it up and she's definately doing her part in the spawning i think...but i' not even sure i hae a male? I can't realy tell the difference in these triangles. although it seems there is a difference, and there's one rasbora which is much slimmer than the others and he's all grayed out (since yesterday).
I don't have a decent camera with me so ic an't get any pcitures to see if any are males.
Since i got back from class i've seen the female i thguess do it twice more..and..oooo right now she was just swimming around with another fish and they are doing the shiver?! haha..gosh i wish i knew which ones were male and femal...but it definitely seems like there si some coutrship thing going on here..
I was planning on getting some more rasbora so i wouldn't mind the babies, and just for the experience...what am i to do?
here's the video, although i know now that it was spawning behavior..i guess the problem is that she is doing this..but no male is joining her. in the article i briefely read, the males are supposed to direct them to a leafe, they do this shake, and he comes and fertizillizes the eggs..but no one is joining her.
