he wont eat.I put in his favorite pellet and he didnt even touch it! He just got put inthe new tank last night and he swam around for a while and than settled down but now he wont eat. I think he might want to go back to the 10 gallon.

It always takes a while to settle in to a new tank, Especially for a nervous species like raphaels.

Leave him where he is, 10g is too small for him anyway.

Hi there, I've got 4 striped raphael & 1 spotted... from my experience they're all jerks bless em, mine go a while without eating, i'm sure they wait til they're not being watched. I haven't seen mine eat for weeks now but they're still going strong.... giving one another piggy backs and generally being nutters. I don't think you've got too much to worry about though, he'll eat when he's hungry!!!! Kaz

hes not even 2 iches yet. He was eating fiine in the 10 galon and would even come out when the lights were on! Hes making me mad.

bless.... mine get on my nut cos i hardly ever c them let alaone c them eating although they r partial 2 a prawn now n again! 4 of mine r just under 2 inches and i have a new 1 thats 4 inches.... have u got any pix of urs at all? Mine r camera shy! Kaz

i have plenty of pictures but until i can get on my dads laptop i have now ay of uploading them unless i pull my desk out to stick the reader in the USB port I may get around to it sometime this weekend and definately when i get the new fish for it.

Mine never seems to eat either. Iv got 1 spotted that I got for free from someone. Iv even snuck down with no lights on after the tank lights have been out for hours and he still seems to be in the same spot in the little cave. I keep expecting him to be dead one day when I come down but he keeps on tickin. I wish I had some friends for him maybe that would help, but there is just no more room in the tank for new additions.

Woah Fiddle ur right..... don't think you've got much room 4 more raphaels there! lol..... but then again 1 little 1 wouldn't hurt would it?!!!! -_-

mine swims around a lot after water changes and when i add a new fish. If i leave the lights off when i am at a late hockey practice he will be flying all ove rthe tank when i turn the lights on.
