Rant

I'm at university here and they deliver them right to the front desk, I have no idea which postal outlet they would be at. Thx everyone for praying and sending fishie wishes over:D

My baby took about a week to get here. He is GORGEOUS (praises synirr) and did just fine setting in.

They've been out since last tuesday and were fastened 3 days before. What you think? Will they make it? I have to believe they will be fine but never know

if it makes you feel any better, someone i know from another forum - her shipment was lost for a MONTH and all 5 fish came through alive. i recently had 2 fancy gold hmpk take from mon to fri to get here and they were okay. as long as the temperature is all right, i'm sure they won't starve to death

Yeah, see, up here temperature is starting to be a factor. It's getting colder at nights, though mercifully the days are still unseasonably warm . . . I really hope they come through alright (though it must be driving you crazy not knowing exactly where they are! Somewhere around the NB/NS border, maybe? They've gotta be in Moncton by now, at the very least . . . you're Metro Hfx area aren't you? Or was that somebody else on here?)

Yep , I go to school in Halifax Metro. I really hope they will be here tomorrow!
Wow, lost for a month and nobody gave up? That gives me hope

yeah I really hope they will be here tomorrow:) It says delivery post office, that sounds like the local one to me... but I may be wrong

OMG, I was ok until today but when I read they still hadn't gotten there I was really getting worried about it... but now I see they got through customs, so w00t!!! :hyper: That's what I was worried about.
Hopefully they'll be there for you tomorrow. They definitely won't have starved or anything like that; usually when a fish dies in the mail it's because they were exposed to extreme temps, weren't fasted properly beforehand (definitely not the case with mine,) or they run out of air.... since I put as much air as possible in the bags, I'm optimistic they'll be ok
If the temps have been cooler up north it would actually be better for them as it slows their metabolism and helps them conserve their resources
Fingers crossed they're ok!

I am so glad to hear that they've gotten through customs. You must let us know as soon as you get them!

That's got to be good news about the temperatures slowing metabolic rates, Synirr- at quarter to twelve right now it's fifteen degrees celsius and raining in Charlottetown, and according to the weather network it's seventeen degrees celsius and also raining in Halifax, so they must be nice and lazy right about now ;)

Haha you guys are awesome! I know, poor Synirr I made her worry more than she prolly would have.
I'm happy, I really hope they will be here toda but it's too early right now:p Have to go to two boooooooooooring classes (engl., philo) first:(
I will take pics when I get a hold of my brothers digi camera but he lives an hour away from here:p I'll definetely let you know!

I'm frustrated once again. No fish. I wait all class and stuff and when I walk to my mailbox I just know there wont be anything, it's like I'm getting used to it now...:(

Do they actually put packages in your mailbox? Here they hold them in the office and phone us to come collect. It might be worth phoning down to the secretary or RA, or whoever, and seeing if a parcel came in for you.
