One of my wife's students once glued his mouth closed by using a glue stick as lip balm. It was the quietest her class had been in months.
That’s so stupid.

I’ve only really super glued my finger together once - when I was trying to super glue Java Fern to a piece of driftwood. (That’s when you know you’re a fish nerd)

Murphy's Law of Adhesives: Any glue will have a slightly stronger affinity for your skin than for whatever you actually want it to stick to. This is doubly true when gluing java moss.
You can use acetone to prevent glue from sticking to your finger.

Does anyone have a solution for tangled power head wires?

This monstrosity happens when I put all the power head in a box for just a few weeks.

I have often wondered about his, I have a dumb question for those in retail.
Why is .99 used so much for the price of an item. like $149.99. A penny is not worth anything these days, is it for some psychological reason?
Who does this psychological reason work on? Personally, the price of 149.99 will not sway me at all over a price of $150 for the same item.

I could maybe see a saving if I bought 100 items priced at $$$.99 and that would be 1 dollar of savings.

It really bugs me when companies keep making quantities smaller without lowering the price. I just noticed yesterday that my brand of cranberry juice got smaller . It used to be 64 ounces per container. Then I noticed the shape of the bottle changed. I checked the quantity and it is now only 60 ounces. Years ago, you could buy a half gallon of ice cream. Now the containers are only 1.5 qts. You used to be able to buy a half gallon (64 ounces} of orange juice but now they cut the size to 59 ounces. Tissues at Costco used to come in boxes with approximately 155 tissues. Now they cut the size of the boxes to 125 tissues. Tuna fish used to come in 7 oz cans. They they cut it to 6 oz. And now it's only 5 ounces per can.

99 cents sounds less than 1 dollar.
$999.00 sounds less than $1000.

It's been known for years that people buy things if it sounds cheaper. So they round it down to $9.99 instead of $10.00 because people think it's $9 not $10. Even though it is basically $10.00.

It does actually work on most people for some reason. I look at the price and say $10.00 but most people see $9.00 even if it's $9.99.

Years ago companies used to increase the price due to inflation and the price of ingredients going up. Today the price is at a limit where people can't afford or refuse to pay more for those items. So instead of increasing the price to cover costs, companies reduce the contents but leave the price where it is.

Many companies also change the label or packaging when they do this and say "Hey, come look at our new label, isn't it swell". All the while they have reduced the amount of product in the packaging.

I see it all the time and have the same packaging from products I bought several years ago, vs today's packaging. Same ingredients, same price, but a smaller amount/ volume of product.

I find that very amusing that there are so many people in the world that do that, which kinda humors me finding it funny. I also have realized what you are saying about instead of raising the price, reducing the contents. I had a pack of 80-quart zip lock freezer bags that I finally finished using. When I looked for a second box of 80 all I could find now was the same brand in 75 bags.

Dollar stores used to sell mainly items for $1 each. Now they sell many items for $2 or $3 or $4 or more. They should rename their stores to 2 dollar stores or 3 dollar stores.

Internet companies will try to convince you that you need more speed at a higher cost. Many households will get by just fine with 25 mbps or even less. But internet companies try to convince you to upgrade to 100 mbps or even 1 gbps when you would never even get close to needing that speed.
