Bacon is high in protein. And it's gluten free. So it must be good for me.
Not only is bacon high in salt and fat (as mentioned by PheonixKingz), it has nitrites in and they are linked to stomach and intestinal cancers. Having bacon or ham once a month is fine, but you don't want it every day or even every week.
