I can't wrap my head around that one, either. My mind simply doesn't work that way.

I haven't memorized anyone's avatar yet besides Whistling Badger, which I noticed changed. But, I browse on a cell phone, so avatars are smaller than my pinky nail.

Can I change my settings to view the site in a dark theme/mode? I didn't see that feature. The white hurts my eyes.

@dascrow, is it possible to add that feature? Not make it 100% dark, but have an option.

I have the “dark mode” turned on in my devices settings, and it has helped me. The plain white is crazy bright.

Yup, I always use dark mode on my phone and keep my brightness lower.

The new bluegill are catching on that flakes = food. Hopefully they'll transition to cichlid pellets as soon as they're big enough. They becoming curious as well and coming up to the glass a little bit.

At the moment they are in a 40 breeder. They are +/- 1" long. They will eventually be going into a 150+. One is a pumpkinseed.

I've been trying to get pictures. They're still skittish and I've only managed to get silver blurs so far.

The only somewhat clear shot I've gotten is of the pumpkinseed, which is the biggest, shyest and mellowest of the 5.

I was having a conversation elsewhere about times we had to call the paramedics to come remove our feet from our mouthes, so I figured I'd share a story that happened to us a few years ago in Las Vegas.

Anyone who has ever been knows they have timeshare people who hassle you relentlessly everytime that you walk into certain casinos *cough MGM properties cough*. They are very aggressive and do not like taking no for an answer. I understand that they have a job, so I try not be rude. I happen to speak Russian and a fair bit of Pennsylvania Dutch and I will usually respond in either of the two languages, which is usually enough to get them to drop their sales pitch right then and there. Well, one time in Excalibur the timeshare lady, a little old Hispanic lady, literally runs up and starts her speech. I respond in Russian that we're not interested and she responds right back in perfect Russian with her opening line. Things got awkward really quick. She was actually really cool and I explained that we use this tactic to keep from being hassled. She understood completely and let us know a hand signal that members are taught that meant they have already been taken care of. She was there everyday of our trip and would simply smile and wave from a distance as we walked by after that day. And yes, the hand signal was effective at other properties with timeshare salespeople.

Edit: They will offer you free show tickets and other perks to attend their high pressure sales pitch. If you have a couple hours to spare, they are legit. We were in Vegas for two weeks once, so we had time to spare and figured why not, it'll be entertaining and we can cross that one off of our list. They gave us free transportation to and from the beautiful timeshare condos, fed us lunch, did their 45 minute sales pitch and we left with close to $500 worth of free show tickets (all excellent seats, I might add). It was worth it.

Typically $100, but the cheapest I found is around $60. Tbh, if you're doing constant water changes or large water changes, then invest in an RO unit as it's cheaper in the long run compared to buying water.

Wow, that’s expensive. I guess in the long run, it would save me $$$. I will look into them, and do some research on them. Thanks for the suggestion!
