Hi.Ive been using "interpet no.9" for about a week now and still no improvment in the Ranchu.
Its been about 4 weeks now since hes eaten anything and hes slowly getting thinner.
He hasnt "pooed" at all (not surprising seeing he isnt eating),but just stays about mid tank occasionaly moving around the tank.
Was just wondering if i added some salt to the tank (dont have hospital tank)if that may help.
I havent got a clue what sort of salt to use,or even if i could do this seeing as i have 2 loaches in there.
Any ideas please?

Sorry your fish isnt getting any better. All i can come up with is an intestinal problem such as worms or fish TB. Sorry i cant be more help to you.

Have you tried feeding him from your hand? Maybe a cooked shelled squashed boiled pea held in front of his mouth might get him to eat. You might have to catch him and try to force feed him.

Hi black angel. Thanks for the advice.

Looks like im going to have to try something like that i think.

Not sure how much longer he can go on like this.

He sure is a fighter

Try one cat worming tablet crush and mix in a jug with some tank water, would be best if you could issolate the fish.

Hi Wilder. You mean actually put the fish into a container or something.and add a crushed cat worming tablet into this container?

How long do you suggest i leave the fish in this container for?

Also...excuse the question....but what will this do?

I mean if you had a spare tank, if not you will have to add it to the tank, crush it up with a teaspoon really well get some tank water and really mix the tab into the water then I usually drain it through a net into another judge, how many gallons is the tank.

Go with two tablets it a 42 gallon one won't be enough.

Good luck hope it works for you.

How's he doing.

Did the fish make it.

Hi wilder. Many thanks for the advice, but unfortunatly.....he didnt make it :(

Its a shame, but hes not suffering any more now.......so i went straight out and bought another one ;) a little yellowish ranchu.......hes cute and slightly smaller than the other one,and ill do my best to look after him
