So if they don't reproduce in brackish waters, will not my lonely one be safe to keep?
It seems more interested in the algea than my plants so far as i can see.

They are known to tolerate relatively high salt concentrations and they are occasionally found in light brackish-waters. They are able to survive in these brackish waters, but they do not reproduce under these conditions. In literature (Hunt, 1961; Robin, 1971; Santos et al., 1987), it's reported that Marisa cornuarietis can withstand a salinity up to about 30% salt water.

yes, ramshorn will not breed in brackish water, their eggs dont have the protection against salt. i bought 4 adults at my lfs about a month ago, 3 died but the 1 remainder was able to birth about a bozen new ones into my tank, had to collect em up nad put them in other tanks, work wonders on teh alge thogh
