Does anyone know if you can keep 2 different types of Rams together THANKS

Yes you can keep Blues with Bolivians gold rams are Blue rams just a color morph. It's keeping 2 males in the same tank is when you can get problems. I had 2 male blue rams and the stronger one killed the other one. So yes and no. in short yes it just comes down to sex tank size and personality.

well, im pretty sure they might hybridize, if you have different kinds, like bolivian rams and german blue rams.

No, you can't keep both species together. At least, not consistently and not successfully.

Mikrogeophagus ramirezi needs very soft (<5 degrees dH) water with a low pH (ideally, 5.5-6.5, and certainly not above 7). It also needs extremely warm water, around 30 degrees C. When not kept in these conditions it is very, very prone to diseases such as Hexamita, as reflected by the countless messages on every fishkeeping forum on Earth where inexperienced aquarists find themselves having to deal with sickly ram cichlids.

Mikrogeophagus altispinosus needs neutral (pH 7), soft to moderately hard (5-15 degrees dH) water at a middling temperature (25 C). It is on the whole a hardy fish, and because it is somewhat more likely to carry pathogens without developing symptoms, and therefore might well infect Mikrogeophagus ramirezi (compared the whole angelfish/discus issue for a comparable problem).

Cheers, Neale
