I already have 2 male bolivian rams living happily together in a 180l. I would like to add 2 gold rams - hopefully females. Would they be ok together, would they breed?

They would be fine together...breeding I couldn't say.
I know it has been done successfully by the Germans to produce the "German Blue" variety after many years.

Are Gold rams as hardy as Bolivian Rams (which I have now). How many can i have in a 180l?

gold rams are german blue rams, and what temperature is your tank at? and what substrate do you have? and what else is in the tank?

and gold rams and bolivians cannot breed together
