Hey all! Hope everyone who is checking this out is having a great day! I went to Wally World last night(a.k.a Walmart) and got 11 otocinclus. I've got 'quarintining' in my 20 gal tank since it will be easier to treat them for any disease in there than in my 55gal. All in all that will give me about 15 otocinclus in my 55gal...think that should put a dampener on the algae on the plants eh? lol! My rams i just got on Sunday have already paired up, well, at least two of them have...the larger male and the mystery sex gold ram haven't seem to hit it off, but the other two are definately a pair. Gaurding the one corner of my 20 gal like nothing else. Its funny cuz they are only about an inch long...tiny little buggas...but they are still trying to take on my 4 inch gourami...its classic. They have to gang up on him to do anything. Cute little buggas...must say i like them better than my larger cichlids. Anywho, the female has her ovadepositer down and ready, the male doesn't have his little thingy out yet though so i don't know how soon she is to popping. I believe it will be their first brood...so i am thinking they are gonna eat them. But patience is a virtue and they will become great parents i'm sure. The only prob. is i think they have selected my aquarium heater as the spawning site...which doesn't make sense since i have several large smooth rocks and even a cave in there. Oh well. First brood=inexperience! Have a great day!
