My Rams layed eggs again. I decided to take them out of the big tank and save them from the Discus...
I've raised Ram fry once before, but the parents were both Blue....this time it's the same dad but a Gold momma....if I get the eggs to hatch and the fry to survive- what can I expect as far as coloring? Will I get some type of hybridization? Or will I get some of one and some of the other? That's one of the reasons I didn't let the Discus have them for lunch- I'm curious to see what they turn out to look like......
Thanks for any info.......
Ericka

i'm not 100% sure, but i would say, you will get a cross between the two (obviously) and some will lean towards gold and some will lean towards the blue side of the gean pool

I think I"m going to let them grow out a little while, then give them to my sister after she buys a new tank for them........ :p

:fun: AH how nice, y ou must REALLY LOVE her then! Fish fry can be a hard thing to part with. So how are the fry making out?

Love is a really strong word....
I think the fry are dead.....haven't seen them in a while.... :-(

There was a discussion about Ram fry in the breeding forum, Annatasia had some Q's about her German Rams breeding, thought maybe you could offer a suggestion or two..... :alien:
