We have a female Ram Cichlid that we think might be breeding/ready for breeding. She has a very pink tummy & yesterday was burrowing in the gravel at the bottom of the tank. The male cichlid is very interested in her and is following her everywhere.
She doesn't seem to be burrowing any more, so does this mean that she has laid her eggs (if that's what they do!)? If she is breeding, what do we need to do with her?
Also, we have 2 male cichlids and have put one in a separate tank for now as the 2 males were fighting. Will they settle down once she has laid her eggs?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
