No, they get way too big for a 20g. They get to 4-6" and need lots of swimming room. They should be in a 40g minimum.MXPX4318 said:They are beautiful fish, I would love to have some when I get another tank, I just don't know a lot about them, (water condtions, tank size, compatiable tank mates, etc.) but maybe I'll research some more about them as my LFS has some that are beautiful, maybe they'd go good in a 20g long?
I saw the Boesemanis, Turquoise (lacustris) and Red (glossolepis) in his siggy. Those get to 4, 5 & 6 inches respectively. I didn't see the Praecox in there, they only get to 2.5"dwarfs said:Not every rainbow gets that big
He's talking about threadfins [iriatherina werneri ]and , pseudomugil and popondetta species. They stay smaller [roughly 1 1/4" to 2 "], but seem to be hard to find [ or I would have some ].parker313 said:I saw the Boesemanis, Turquoise (lacustris) and Red (glossolepis) in his siggy.
