After my Mums tank cracked, we ended up spreading her fish out through all my tanks till we could get a new one up and running. Her three baby loaches ended up in my 55, with a couple of SA cichlids and a rather aggressive rainbow shark. Kelvin (the shark) who had ruled the tank was absolutely smitten with the loaches, it's hilarious to watch them, he swims with them, eats with them, plays with them, sleeps with them.

Is there any reason for this? the loaches are about the same size and shape as him, and they have red tails, but he's meant to be a solitary aggressive fish, I've seen him kill guppies (he was removed very quickly after that) but he hasn't done anything since the clown loaches went in. I was completely prepared to ahve too put Kelvin in a breeder net while the loaches were there, but he hasn't done a thing.

both my RTBS and rainbow shark loved hanging around with my clowns.
they even started to sleep on their sides mimicking the clowns.

Same with my tank, The rainbow shark and clown loaches are always together and at feeding time he chases all the other fish off the wafers but eats along with the clowns
