So I came down to my basement after my trip to walmart, which had some good tanks but all the bettas had mysteriously disappeared.

I got downtairs and the firt thing i saw was a little sliver on the carpet. I thought, "No, it couldn't be" But yes it was. Thurston the betta fish. With dog hair on him too. I suspected my dog had licked him a few times but thats not for sure. I immediately put little Thurston into his tank but he wasnt doing good. He swam around weakly for a bit Then he went over and did a backflip and landed on a rock upside down, with his gills flaring like crazy, struggling to get up. I made some current with my fish net to see if I could get him right side up again and I did, he wasted no time in rushing to the top to breathe air. He was breathing for at least a good 20 seconds. I left him to see if he would get any better, but i came back and he is a goner. R.I.P Thurston.

Very sad. Today's 2 months since I got that first goldfish and now my betta is gone. Also makes me kind of sad because I was looking at wal-mart's fish and was considering getting him some stuff, good thing I didn't, it would have been a waste.

:-(

I think I'll be going for another betta. And oh yeah, the amount of space that was left open on his lid was so small, but yet just enough for him to get through.

:-( :-( :-( :-(

Wont let my upload the picture of him for some reason.
