This morning, while I was inspecting the fish I noticed that one of my female guppies, Marigold was looking listless and hanging at the surface. The other fish were nipping are her body so I scooped her out and moved her into a plastic container. The next moment, I realized that she was dead! I tested the water and everything was normal, so I immendiatly came to the conclusion that she died while or before delivering her fry since she was pregnant. Marigold was the most popular female guppy in the whole tank . . . espically with her mate, Tango. Here's her last picture!
will be in fishy heaven with my two guppys now, its funny how attached you can get to little things, mine were first fish i ever got i was more upset than when my nan died- then again she had a good innings !
Thanks for the comforting words! Well, at least I have 13 of Marigold's fry and some are beginning to show their yellow color on the edges of their tails like their beloved mother.
