I have no Idea how old he was when we got him, (caught in the garden of a friend who could not keep him) but he's been with us for around 8 or 9 years and did build up quite a vocabulary in that time.

Suddenly fell ill yesterday, and died today whilst the vet was trying to treat him for what was diagnosed as Chlamydia..... Rest in peace Kokkie..... You will be missed.

Looked like a cracking teil nice defined colour on the face not been native to your part of the world I tke it he was an escape ? If his plumage was that bright when you got him not greyish all over he wasnt a young bird when he got caught so lived a happy life I bet
