This is my first post after lurking around for some info for a day or two.
I have a 30l BiOrb with the original (approx 6 or 7 years old) and now very noisy Rena 100 air pump (standard issue before they started supplying own brand low voltage pumps).
I can't decide what to replace it with, either:
Eheim 3701
TetraTec APS150
Airvolution AV1
I believe the Rena 100 is a 120lph unit so the Eheim is the only model here that doesn't reach that output. I could always get an Eheim 3702 and merge the two outlets to supply the BiOrb, do these adjustable units get noisier as airflow is restricted?
I've left a new Rena off the list as I feel slightly biased against it but that's just my opinion.
I'm looking for quietness rather than longevity as my priority.
