Hello,

I'm looking for a very Quiet pond pump to run in my 5ft X 2ft x 18" indoor tank. Not 100% sure on the litre.

I would like a pond pump as I prefer to over filter my tanks.

Are there any recommendations?
Are quiet pong pumps even available?

Thanks for all and any info and advice.

You are dealing with a tank that can hold about 425 litres Doctor.
I use a pond pump in my summer tub that is quite quiet but moves a bit more than 600 gallons per hour, about 2300 litres per hour. Unfortunately my summer tub pump is not designed to be used in any aquarium. It is plumbed to discharge above the water level of a pond at a height of at least 2 feet above the water line. What that means to an aquarium setup is a lot of splashing noises as the water falls back to the tank's water surface and making a mess of the fish room floor if you are not very careful. In my 150 gallon, call it 560 litres, summer tub it is a very nice pump and keeps the water well aerated and gives me a several times per hour filtration flow. It even gives me a nice fountain effect with water being brought down to near air temperature or even a bit lower due to evaporative cooling. This is what it looks like in action.
