So, I have a Jewel Cichlid that has been living in a 75g with two severums and 3 rescue viejas. She almost killed one of the Viejas today.
She is only about 4 inches. So what I did, I acclimated her to the Mbuna tank. I know its not ideal because the water parameters are different, although the pH in both is pretty close. I did a drip acclimitization as there is .6 difference in the pH. My Mbuna are 5+ inches. They looked at her, she looked back. I was waiting for a fight. Nope, she went the other direction, and the Mbuna went back to what they were doing. Now she is swimming with them and there is no violence. Finally, I tamed the wild beast.
Now to monitor for any problems. If she can't get along with the Mbuna, then it looks like I will have a 6th tank to set up
