quick question

well me and whiskerz were at walmart and we were checking out the Betta's on the new display rack walmart has and we noticed 1 male that had vertical bars, fins were to long to be a female and i looked for an egg spot and didn't see 1, i was wondering if anybody else has seen this before because I'm guessing it isn't to normal

I have a few male bettas that have vert bars as well, incuding one of my HM's, can't explain why, but know that males do it as well as the females.
