O.K. so i had to remove my fish from one of my tanks and put them in the other. ( Don't ask why but i'm not allowed to have 2 tanks for some reason so says my father. -_- ) Now all my fish are in a 10 - gallon untill i get the 55, which will for sure be Christmas. In the tank were originaly, 2 Black Moors (goldfish) and a common goldfish; now there are, 2 Black Moors, one common, an albino Cory Cat, and one of my female bettas. I left her in as a tester, because i don't know how my goldies will react to her and vise versa. So far so good, she swims in a cornner not paying any attention to the goldies; as for my other female, she is in a 2.5 - gallon with silk plants and a cave. My question is this, my room is the warmest in the house, and when i touch the tank the water seems fairly warm, is it O.K. to keep her without a heater till Christmas if the temperature stays pretty muchin the mid 70*F's? I've always thought that femals NEEDED a heater, hence why i'm asking.

Also, both females are cambodian, neither have shown horizontal or vertical bars, do they just not show them because they have white bodies?

Thanks!
Tam

Lighter females show no stripes ...ever :)

As long as it's mid 70'ish I think you'll be fine and so will they. Females actually prefer cooler water than the males do.

Oh, cooler water? Really? Interesting. Yup their water stays in the mid 70's, i've got a thermometer in there. They'll have their bigger tank back by Christmas. ;)
No stripes ever, ok then i'm assuming to show stress it's loss of color and clamped fins. Alright.
Thank you very much Wuv! :D
(The bettas you sent me are doing wonderful, i posted some pictures of them in here http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=56732 , if you would like to see them.)
