Quick Question

Not very likely,

I'd say anything over an inch should be safe

Thank you, but are you sure? The senegal is very small too, possibly thinner than the future to-be-mine ropefish......

I would think it would be eaten. Although it depends on how fat the bichir is of course. I personally wouldn't risk it. Never underestimate the size of prey a polypterus can consume.

if the rope set its mind to dine yes but remember it doesn't have to eat it to kill it I'd keep them seperate till the senegal was bigger say 5-6 inches

Thanks for the info but unfortunantly, I've decided againsed buying the ropefish because I don't think I should expand my collection of fishes too much.

What a pity......I mentioned this because my favorite fish site was having a ropefish sale at 60% the original price! Darn....
