Quick Question On Shrimp

Just a quick question... how do you introduce shrimp to your tank? Just the same way you would if they was fish?

i have 2 giant shrimp, and i just floated the bag on the tank, for around 15-20 mins as you would with fish, but i didnt do all that adding tank water crap lol they were fine, had them about 5-6 months now, and they grow really fast!!!
