Fish Fanatic
Hello guys,
I exchanged my two large red-tailed tinfoil barbs for three juveniles. They looked good at the store, no problems. I had the clerk take out one that had a little fin rot, but these three looked fine.
However, once I got them home, I was able to examine them closely. One of them has a very itsy-bitsy (~ 1/3 mm in diameter--if you can imagine such a size) hole in its dorsal fin. At first I thought it was lighting, refraction, whatever. However, that is NOT the case. This "hole" exists under all conditions.
I just do NOT know what to do. Should I watch it? Take it out IMMEDIATELY? Exchange (kinda reluctant to do so, because the store is kinda far away, but I will if I HAVE to...as in SHOULD)?
I examined all of the fins VERY closely on that fish and everything else seems to be in order. Good color, border, etc. Can't see anything else wrong with that fish.
What should I do? Just scared I'm going to see SEVEN dead fish in the morning (yes, I AM paranoid).
Awaiting your reply,
JT
