i have a fluval edge marine set up with just the halogen lighting. i bought an LED strip off ebay and was just wondering would this be enough to keep most soft coral. i already have a leather carpet in there and hes been doing fine for about a month now. i have some polyps and a feather duster. here is the link for the led lights i bought.
thanks

I don't know much about marine corals and tanks but what I do know is that they need extremely powerful lighting to be successful. LED is very bright but whether it would be enough I don't know. I am sure there are many other more experienced coral keepers out there so just be patient and wait for them to reply.

i would say no unless you have upgraded the lights in the tank itself with the posh upgrady ones think they are MR11's

thanks. these mr 11s do you just take the old halogens out and put these mr11s in. thanks for that it was realy helpful. if so i will buy two bulbs tonight. also i want extra flow in there. what would be the ideal l/ph hydor korilla power head for my tank.
thanks again

um i think the lights just replace the old ones like for like but i am not 100%
powerhead wise go for the 900lph one, its just called the koralia nano i believe

thanks sorgan. just wondering would these ones fit if anyone knows.

ill have a little check on ebay for a 900 l/ph one now. want to start getting more corals in there as it has been set up for 2 months and the ocean rock i put in when setting up has started changing to live rock. got all sorts of coraline algea growing on it.
thanks
