Hi fellow fishaholics,

I am getting a Hagen powerhead and the quick filter for water polishing. My plan is to use the powerhead with the filter to filter out fine particles after water change. At other times, I would just want to use the powerhead to give some water movement. Given that I have DIY CO2 into the tank, would too much water movement cause my added CO2 to escape into the air? I am thinking to get either the 301 or the 402 from Hagen. Any comments on these? Also, are they flow adjustable? Which one would you recommend for a 32g tank.

Thanks.

Nikki

yes the flow is adjustable
there is a lever that you can move to close the
diameter of the input hole, thus reducing the flow.

the pre filter also reduces the flow somewhat and can be reduced more by filling the internal coloum with floss.

once you have it just play around with the amount of floss and the lever to get a flow that suits you.
I have a 401 with pre-filter.
