I'm currently cycling a 90l tank. 'Coz of evaporation, I need to top it up a little, guessing 6 litres or so needed, just to get the water level above the bottom of the cover.
Do I need to add dechlor to cope with this? Don't want to risk killing the bacteria, 'coz it's almost ready for fish.
If I should add some, how much? 'coz a capful does loads of litres (I forget how many, the bottle isn't handy); I'm guessing it'd just be a few drops, and I just can't imagine that'd do much.

thanks

It is best IMO to add dechlor. I would add a small dolup from the bottle to the container being used to top-up. TBH there would probibly be little harm in using strait tap water for that little amount, especialy if chlorine is what your water board used, rather than chloramine. However, better safe than sorry :good:
