i just put up a DIY co2 reactor and its working. But i came across a few threads which said that there is no use for co2 if u have subdued lighting. I have a 17W 18inch T8 which came with my 20 gallon. I just added a reflector. I have two plants: a Diandra and a struggling java fern. I would they both take up 2% of the entire substrate. I want to have a moderately planted tank. My question is whether i need the co2 right now or not. I mean, the co2 already dropped my pH from a 6.4 to 6.2 and i don't want it to drop further. Its only been 3 hours since the co2 has been in the tank. Should i remove it for now and add it when my pellia and java moss arrive? do respond

it isnt necessary with your lighting levels, but it still helps.

CO2 will always help, no matter what lighting levels are.
