well today i bought a pair of bn plecs
but the one that is ment to be female still has short bristles up middle of nose, is that normal?
the male has alot more and his are alot longer
but i just arent sure if females get them up middle of nose or not
thanks alot

Dont think females get them up the front of the nose my females have some tiny ones across the bridge of their lips, but none up the front, sounds like you have a young male and a more mature male

Hi Jmaster

Females definatly do NOT get bristles up the middle of her nose, some of my females have bristles on the top lip, other have none. Only the males get bristles up the middle of there noses.

I agree with Stiffler69, sounds like you have an older male and a younger one :-(

as said above if they have come from a tank with a alot of males in some males tend to have slow bristle growth and the more dominant males have bigger bristles

you will find now that they suposed females bristles will start to grow quickly

Cheers Dane
